In today’s gospel, people pursue Jesus in order to get close enough to touch him, knowing that if they could just do so they would be healed.  Some of them couldn’t get there by themselves, so friends and family members brought them to Jesus.

Nothing has changed, has it?  We need to get close enough to touch Jesus.  When we do, he heals us and our life has meaning.  If we have an impediment that prevents us from getting close enough to touch Jesus, we need to reach out to those around us who know the way.  We are in this thing together!  So … whether you need the touch of Jesus or can help someone get there, he’s waiting for you.
