In my neck of the woods, it is snowing today. I’ll admit it, I love snow. Always have, always will. The reason is peace and perfection.
Every time it snows (a real snow … not a dusting) the whole world slows down. More than that, the world gets quiet. In that quiet, I find that it is easier for me to recognize the presence of God in my life. Have you ever noticed that you can think and pray more meaningfully when there isn’t that hum of background noise we all live with? It brings me peace.
The second reason I love snow is that a covering of the white stuff can transform anything it falls on into something lovely. It reminds me that God’s love, which is perfection, beautifies anything (and anybody) it touches.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
