Daily Opportunity

Have you ever been to Mass on any other day but Sunday?  If not, you are missing out on an opportunity to grow your faith, and in particular to expand your knowledge and understanding of the scriptures.  One of the benefits of daily Mass is found in listening and reflecting on scripture passages that you probably had never heard before.  In doing so, you and I can grow in our understanding of the life and mission of Jesus.  When we do so we learn how to rely on our faith every day and in every situation.

Of course, the very best thing about daily Mass is receiving Jesus in the Eucharist!  It strengthens us for the day ahead and softens our hearts to do the works of God.

I know that some of us don’t have the time to get to Mass during the week because of commitments to work or family.  All of us, though, at some time over the course of time have a day or two when we can make it to Mass.  In those times it benefits us to make it our priority to spend a small part of our day with the Lord!
