When at Mass I bow before the altar before proclaiming the gospel, I always recite the following passage from today’s Psalm 51.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
So I am wondering … do I proclaim his praise at all others times as well? Do you proclaim his praise even when you are not at church or praying or reading scripture? Do our mouths give honor to the God that loves us with so powerful a love that he sacrificed his son for our salvation?
Let me open my lips today and joyfully proclaim his holy praise!
