Justification

Probably_Valentin_de_Boulogne_-_Saint_Paul_Writing_His_Epistles_-_Google_Art_Project In today’s short second reading from Paul’s letter to the Romans, we hear how God’s plan for all of us is justification, not judgment.

Brothers and sisters:
We know that all things work for good for those who love God,
who are called according to his purpose.
For those he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
so that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers and sisters.
And those he predestined he also called;
and those he called he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified.

In other words, sisters and brothers, God intended that each of us be united with him through faith, the faith that arises from our love of Christ Jesus.  We are all born with a desire to love God, and to receive the infinite love of God in return.

All we have to do to receive this awesome gift is to say yes to God!
