Glorified in You

hands

How should we pray for each other?  Should our prayers be offered to request intercessions for our friends and loved ones?  Yes, but prayer for each other has another purpose, to ask the Lord to transform those we care about into faithful servants of Jesus Christ.  A great example is found in Paul’s Second Letter to the Thessalonians.

We always pray for you,
that our God may make you worthy of his calling
and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose
and every effort of faith,
that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you,
and you in him,
in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.

Today I pray for each of you that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him!
