The Eternal Rock

One of my favorite things about being a follower of Jesus is that, in the end, I know that God will make all things right.  We live in a world that produces so much injustice that sometimes we feel like giving up.  Without the certainty of knowing that God promises us a better life through him, life in this crazy world is just so very hard and unfair.  This is why Isaiah today reminds us that God is always there for us.

Trust in the LORD forever!
For the LORD is an eternal Rock.
He humbles those in high places,
and the lofty city he brings down;
He tumbles it to the ground,
levels it with the dust.
It is trampled underfoot by the needy,
by the footsteps of the poor.

He is the eternal rock that we can cling to in times of despair.  He is the one who changes our lives by changing our hearts.  Cling to him in these days of waiting.  Trust in the Lord forever!

Maranatha.  Come, Lord Jesus.
