The Hour of Darkness

He is on the cross, suffering for us.  His mother and the other women are there watching him die.  His beloved disciple is there.  The physical and emotional pain is overwhelming.

It is the hour of darkness.  Satan believes that he will win, but the great deceiver can only fool himself.  God’s light will prevail.

“Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh, were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?”

  1. Lee Surkin says:

Happiness needs sadness. Success needs failure. Benevolence needs evil. Love needs hatred. Victory needs defeat. Pleasure needs pain. You must experience and accept the extremes. Because if the contrast is lost, you lose appreciation; and when you lose appreciation, you lose the value of everything.
The victory over Satan will be accomplished through and by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lee, you statement is so powerful. Life gives us challenges and the Lord is there to guide us and give us strength.
