How hard is it to tell the truth about Jesus?  Well, these days I’d say that it’s pretty darn hard.  We live in times in which it is politically and socially incorrect to confess Jesus as Lord and say that salvation can only come through him.  If you do, they will hate you and mock you and call you all sorts of names.  Be glad, though, because Jesus knew two thousand years ago that it would be so.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.
If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
and I have chosen you out of the world,
the world hates you.
Remember the word I spoke to you,
‘No slave is greater than his master.’
If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
And they will do all these things to you on account of my name,
because they do not know the one who sent me.”

Be strong.  Being hated for your profession of faith in Jesus is a painful, lovely, wonderful gift for your soul.

    Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice sake for theirs is the kingdom
    of heaven!
