    Another great homily Gary and thank you for our recent conversations.

    When my faith wavers it is stories like this that help to reinforce it. I am reminded that the people in the Gospels are real people who actually participated in the life of Jesus. Mark _knew_ Bartimaeus and Timaeus and Peter. They are among the multitude of real people who, with the help of the Holy Spirit, built the Church. Many of these real people died for their faith. The Gospels are _not_ just another collection of wandering miracle-worker stories as one of my professors argued.
