God Wins

We focus on and worry about the temporary troubles of our lives.  It’s understandable since we only get to live for a short time.  As a result, we often find ourselves obsessed with even the most inconsequential problem.  How can we get past our worrying ways?  The only way is to recognize that we are children of God and that in the end, God wins.

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing came to be.
What came to be through him was life,
and this life was the light of the human race;
the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.

Our goal is heaven, not an easy life.  In fact, an easy life makes getting to heaven more difficult.  So don’t worry so much.

God wins.

    Sorry, I am behind in reading these. I typically read these at the beginning of my day at work and I was off a few days during our Christmas/New Year celebrations.

    I try only to worry about things over which I have control. The rest I attempt to let roll over me.
