Fellow Citizens

Do not ever believe that you are alone in your faith.  You are not.  In fact, you have an entire community that will support you if you ask for help.  It’s called the body of Christ.

Brothers and sisters:
You are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.
Through him the whole structure is held together
and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord;
in him you also are being built together
into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit

Have you asked your brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for you?  To help you in a time of need?  To visit you if you are sick, or lonely or dispirited?  You should.  Isn’t that what a community of believers does?

Trust in your fellow citizens in the Kingdom of God.

One Response to Fellow Citizens

  1. Mary Thomas says:

    I most certainly have done this as I have needed it. We all need to pray for ourselves and our nation at this time. We are about to be thrown into a time of desperation and without it we will be consumed by what is to come. Please Lord God take pity on your humble servants and show us the way to truth and light. AMEN.
